I have been working with Greg for six months, and I have found him to be professional, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable on the subjects of fitness, nutrition, and designing workouts to for each of his clients’ personal fitness goals.
My personal focus is on strength and athletic training, and I see Greg once or twice a week for an hour session. His workouts are intense, well structured, and have absolutely helped me progress toward my personal goals. Each workout starts with extensive stretching to warm up the muscles that will be utilized in the session. Next, is what Greg calls movement prep, which are often additional, heavier warm-up exercises targeting the muscles or muscle groups that will be worked in the session. After that comes the heavy stuff, focused strength training. Finally, the session wraps up with “performance work,” which is a nice way of saying ass-kicking burst cardio that encompasses a series of calisthenic-style exercises done in rotations with little or no rest. The end result of these sessions? Upwards of 600 calories burnt in a truly holistic approach to physical fitness.
It is important to note, that Greg is not a trainer that instructs from the sidelines. He’s in the trenches with you, ensuring your form is correct so you get the most out of the exercise (and avoid injury), and pushing you on with encouraging words and genuine praise.
Finally, Greg is a nice guy. He’s easy to talk to, and despite the grueling intensity of his routines, he makes it a fun and enjoyable experience, made all the better by the results you will most certainly see if you work with him.
