Squats, hot wings, and cheesecake. My 3 favorite things.
Hands On Time : 5 Minutes
Equipment : Rimmed Baking Sheet, Wire Racks
- 2-4 lbs Chicken Wings or Drumsticks
- 1 Cup of Hot Sauce
- Coarse Sea Salt, Pepper, Granulated Garlic
Preheat your oven to 425 Degrees. Pull out your pan/pans, lay down some aluminum foil on em, and overlay with wire racks. 2 lbs of chicken is around what you can fit on one pan from my experience. You’ll want to grease the racks, I personally use coconut oil spray from Trader Joe’s. Pull out your kitchen shears and show off your new grip strength by removing the tips of the wings at the joint, or you can skip this step to save time and eat around em. Arrange your chicken on the racks and top with salt, pepper, and garlic. Cook for 15 minutes, remove and coat the wings in hot sauce, either in a bowl or with a basting brush. I use a brush since it makes things faster. Once coated, cook 15 more minutes and done. You can coat them in more sauce once finished, I usually do.
For hot sauce I rotate between Frank’s Red Hot and Frank’s Buffalo.
Make em Sexy Honey Ginger Wings
These are a dangerous option, because you’ll want to smash 4lbs of chicken in one sitting. Substitute the hot sauce with the following concoction. For 2 lbs of chicken you’ll need 2 tbls Soy Sauce, 1/4 cup quality honey, 1 tbls coconut oil, and 1 tbls freshly grated ginger. Melt the coconut oil and honey in the microwave for a few seconds and mix everything together well. Coat your wings halfway through cooking and when finished. Top with sesame seeds and post your masterpiece to facebook.
